Ambarella A5s Solution for Hybrid DV/DSC Cameras
The A5s is a single chip H.264 codec Solution for high-definition hybrid DV/DSC cameras. Leveraging Ambarella’s leadership in professional encoding and low-power DSP technology, the A5s provides a powerful combination of high-quality digital still image processing combined with full HD video processing, making it ideal for mainstream hybrid camera devices.
The Ambarella A5s H.264 Codec SoC integrates an image sensor pipeline capable of processing 240 MPixel/s, a 1080p30 Full HD H.264 video Codec and a 528 MHz ARM11 processor. The on-board image pipeline contains many enhanced noise reduction and image enhancement filters as well as an innovative Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) implementation to compensate for camera shake.
Supported with a hardware reference design, software developer’s kit and full DV/DSC camera software application, the A5s is the industry's first choice for mainstream high-volume hybrid DV/DSC camera products.

Ambarella A7 Solution for Hybrid 1080p60 DV/DSC Cameras
The A7 is a single chip H.264 codec Solution capable of capturing up to 4Mp30 (2560x1600p30) and is ideally suited to drive a full-featured Full HD 1080p60 capable hybrid DV/DSC camera.
The ecosystem for 1080p60 video decode, edit and display is mature. The A7 device enables affordable products that give consumers the ability to generate stunning user generated content (UGC) that makes use of this 1080p60-ready ecosystem.
The Ambarella A7 H.264 Codec SoC integrates an image sensor pipeline capable of processing 500 MPixel/s, a 1920x1080p60 or 4M@30p (2560x1600p30) H.264 video Codec and a 528 MHz ARM11 processor. The A7 image pipeline represents the latest generation of Ambarella's renowned suite of image and noise filtering algorithms. Many enhancements and additions have been made including tighter integration of the Electronic Image Stablization (EIS) algorithm into the pipeline itself.

Ambarella Full HD 3D Camera Solution
The Ambarella Full HD 3D Camera Solution enables full HD 1080p 3D video recording and high-resolution 3D photography with exceptional image quality.
The S3D works with Ambarella’s industry-leading A5s and A7 camera system on chips (SoC) to enable full HD 1080p 3D video recording and high-resolution 3D photography with exceptional image quality. It connects to two standard CMOS image sensors and processes the image data to create a single video stream for the A5s or A7 camera SoCs. It also supports the display of 3D video and still images on the cameras 3D LCD display.
When combined with Ambarella’s A7 HD camera SoC, the S3D enables development of cameras up to 1080p60 resolution, while combining it with Ambarella’s A5s HD camera SoC enables resolutions of 1080p30, 1080i60 or 720p60. Both the A7 and A5s feature dual stream H.264 encoding, enhanced image stabilization with rolling shutter correction for CMOS sensors, excellent low-light imaging, wireless connectivity options, and extremely low power consumption.
The S3D can accept input from CMOS sensors with MIPI, parallel, or SLVDS interfaces and supports runtime parallax adjustment. It also supports HDMI 1.4 3D information, so that the camera can automatically trigger the 3D television to enter 3D mode without manual control of the television’s HDMI input.
The combination of S3D and an Ambarella SoC forms the engine for a high quality, consumer-priced, 3D digital video capture product.

The Ambarella iOne SMART Camera Solution brings advanced full HD camera and multimedia capabilities to the Android platform.
By leveraging the fast growing Android ecosystem and cloud-based video services, the iOne opens the door for a new class of connected camera device capable of no-compromise mega-pixel photography, advanced HD video recording, Internet-connectivity, and the ability to run powerful applications.
The iOne SoC’s multi-stream encoding capability supports live video streaming, WiFi upload of video clips to popular websites such as YouTube, and full HD telepresence applications. Its multi-format video decoding enables the playback of Internet-based video content up to 1080p60 resolution, including 3D HDTV.
The iOne builds upon five generations of Ambarella DSP architectures and algorithms to produce high-resolution still images and HD video quality that rival the finest standalone DSC and camcorder products.

Ambarella A7L High Quality 1080p60 DSC SoC
The Ambarella A7L 1080p60 DSC SOC device delivers full 1080p HD H.264 video at 60 frames per second for fluid motion even during fast moving sports scenes and can capture up to thirty (30) 16-megapixel still images per second.
It’s multi-frame high ISO image capture and High Dynamic Range (HDR) processing ensure exceptional image quality, while the A7L’s lens distortion correction enables optimal results from wide angle and small form factor lenses.
Designed for network-connected cameras, the A7L can simultaneously capture full HD video while encoding a second mobile resolution video for uploading to the Internet or streaming over a WiFi network.
The A7L is fabricated in leading edge 32nm process technology, and requires only one single 16-bit DDR3 DRAM for extremely low power consumption and low system cost.

Ambarella A9 4K Ultra HD Camera SoC
The Ambarella A9 4K Ultra HD Camera SOC enables development of the next generation of mirrorless, sports, and digital still cameras (DSCs) with leading edge video features and exceptional still image quality.
In addition to 4K Ultra HD video resolution at 30 frames per second, the A9 supports high frame-rate video for capturing fast-action sports with 1080p video at 120 frames per second or 720p video at 240 frames per second.
The A9 includes dual core ARM® Cortex™-A9 CPUs providing the performance required for advanced applications including wireless connectivity to smartphones for video streaming or image sharing.
